Dewitt “Tsaltiii” Salter was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan.  At an early age, Dewitt studied music and music theory, then learned to play the guitar.  Listening to and being influenced by jazz artists such as Miles Davis, Donald Byrd, John Coltrane and Set his music foundation.

Over time, Dewitt soon began to listen to the styles of bassists Verdine White, Stanley Clarke, Larry Graham, Marcus Miller, Jaco, Victor Wooten, Bootsy, Doug Johns, Alain Caron,Garaj Mahal, Tal Wikenfeld, Julian Vaughn,Richard BonaNathan East, Paul Jackson, and Will Lee just to name a few.

Dewitt listens to and studies many different styles of music: contemporary jazz, funk, salsa, neo-soul, rap, classical, house, blues, fusion jazz, urban contemporary styles and
R &B.  Dewitt also studied Protools and music production under Master Luigi Lazareno.

Dewitt is a music producer and bassist who fuses many styles and genres of music for production.  Soulsa was the latest.
